I've done so many weddings this month and would love to upload the pictures; however, my laptop is running extremely slow. Instead I am going to tell every bride how to devise a color scheme.
Most brides make the mistake of selecting their two favorite colors as the colors for their wedding. The problem with that is, even as a child green and orange didn't match so your wedding day won't be any different. Instead I tell brides to pick ONE favorite color and mature it. If you love orange, let your color be a burnt or sunkissed orange with shade of beige and chocolate. If you love black (which many brides incorporate into their wedding) don't do black and white. Use charcoal, grey and one other color such as maroon to give your wedding distinction.
Now there are many planners that say certain colors are faux pas, I believe any color can be used if used in the proper way. Be careful with green, black/white (without another bold color. I usually suggest substituting beige for white), hot pink, loud orange and lime anything. Citrus colors can be toned down with dark neutral colors. I'll post a few examples.
